North Shore Community Pulls Together to Prepare for Namahana’s First Classes

Mahalo to the Kauaʻi North Shore Lions ClubHonsador, and Garden Island Sheds & Portable Storage for their support building tables for the students. Honsador donated the building materials, and Garden Island Sheds & Portable Storage donated a container rental for project. The Lions Club will be building a variety of their famous picnic tables for lunch seating, as well as dynamic learning tables. Each learning table will be movable, seat up to six students, and the table surface will hinge at the top so it can fold up and double as a white board.  Stay tuned, as we’ll share the finished products in a future newsletter!

Their collective donations and time is a deeply appreciated example of the community pulling together to make Namahana school a reality. These custom designs support the students in a modern, collaborative, and values-aligned way.
