Bridget Thorpe
Bridget serves as the Interim Co-Executive Director of Namahana Education Foundation, where she leverages a deep-rooted commitment to her community to drive organizational growth. As Chief Development Officer in 2024-2025, she propelled the foundation to a surpass a historic $10 Millon fundraising milestone and expanded its network of supporters. By bridging local grassroots efforts with national PR and state and federal advocacy, Bridget helps solidify the vital relationships that empower Namahana’s future.
Raised in Kīlauea, Bridget graduated from Kula High and Intermediate on the North Shore of Kauaʻi. She graduated first in her class from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.S. in Business Operations and Entrepreneurship, then earned her MBA in Marketing and Governance with a thesis focus on Investment Ethics.
Prior to Namahana, Bridget spent several years with Schneider Electric advising global Fortune 500 companies on renewable energy, carbon, and sustainability initiatives. Her climate sector expertise includes directing communications for a climate tech nonprofit and leading a sustainable venture through prestigious accelerators including PreX, NASDAQ Milestones, and Ellen MacArthur Circularity Foundation initiatives.
An active student mentor since 2021, Bridget loves connecting global goals with local action. She has guest lectured local STEM students on how ʻāina-based practices support United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and supported local equine healthcare via the Kauaʻi North Shore Animal Clinic. Bridget lives in Kīlauea with her husband and daughter, where she remains deeply grateful to be close to family.
