Parents Support Temporary Campus Needs

The effort to prepare our temporary 7th and 8th grade classrooms continued over the last few weeks, with the North Shore Lion’s Club stepping up to build tables for our classrooms. The work looks great, and we are grateful for all the time and donations that went into this effort.

In addition to the Kauaʻi North Shore Lions volunteers, two of our parents were a very big help in assembling and painting the picnic tables.  Christina Cavanaugh took time off from work to help with the priming of the picnic tables, while her husband, Shaye Cavanaugh (Hanalei Craftsman), also gave up a day of work to assemble the picnic tables. Olivia Brownwell, who is a painting contractor, saved the Lions volunteers a lot of work by working two days with Shaye to assemble and spray paint picnic tables.

Mahalo to the Lions Club, our community, and especially our Namahana parents!
